Long book - 48 CD's - How to break it down

I just down loaded this software recently and I can't figure out how to break down a large book into multiple parts. I have a book with 48 CD's and I don't know how many chapters that I would like to break down into 5 or 6 parts.

Can you please tell me how to do this?

Hello...

Its not the number of disks that will cause you problems, its the overall length of the book.  I use  a program called audacity to combine all the disks into one file, and then I can change the sample rate and other things... Once I have an overall length and in a quality that I like, I can then make a decision on how many files to cut it into.  Audacity can do that for me also... 

Then I load the files into chapter and verse and put in the chapter information and let this program put it into my itunes file.
